(2021/08 Hokkaido) This was my first time climbing a mountain—Mt. Rishiri (1721 m). We started from near sea level and hiked all the way to the summit. The round trip took 12 hours. It was both joyful and exhausting. This hike was deeply meaningful to me. It marked my first true experience of loving mountains, shared with my friend Wu.

(2022/09 Hokkaido) I climbed Mt. Asahidake (2,291 m), with my friend Wu and some lab members. This mountain is the highest one in Hokkaido. We started at an elevation of 1,600 m, and the round trip took about five hours. We enjoyed Japan’s earliest autumn scenery, as Hokkaido enters autumn earlier than the rest of the country.

(2023/10 Matsushima) I visited Matsushima. I love the manga <Honey and clover>. The hero rode a bicycle from Tokyo, and pass by Matsushima. So, I am intestered in this place.

(2023/12 San Francisco) It was my first time in the USA, and I stayed for one week to attend the AGU with my friend Cheng. The eye-catching photo is courtesy of Cheng.

(2024/03 Kyoto) With my friend Cheng — a sakura trip without sakura. The blossoms were later than predicted, which made me quite sad. But I’ll try again in the future! By the way, Universal Studios Japan was extremely crowded, and that was a bit disappointing too. Hello kitty was super cute.

(2024/06 Hokkaido) My friend Li visited me from Chongqing. We stayed in Furano for three days. We love the greenery and flowers there.

(2025/07 Hokkaido) I climbed Mt. Furano with Rikuto.The weather was nice, the mountain flowers were lovely.It took me five hours for the round trip and I was very tired.

(2025/10 Toyama) I climbed Mt. Tateyama (3000 m), starting from 2000 m. The round trip took about 7.5 hours. The weather was amazing, the views were stunning. Even though I was really tired, it was totally worth it!
